Menopause Awareness training

£4 per person · CPD Aligned · no subscription required · certificate issued in the learner's name

Understanding menopause at work and in care — what happens and when, the symptoms that reach far beyond hot flushes, workplace rights and reasonable adjustments, how to talk about it well, and how to support colleagues and the people you care for.

What this course covers

How much does Menopause Awareness training cost?

£4 per person on Care2Learn, with no minimum order and no subscription. If your team needs a full training matrix rather than one course, a subscription from £2 per learner per month — with volume discounts from 75 learners — covers all 45 courses. See the 2026 price comparison.

Who needs it

Everyone in a care team — not only those who will experience menopause themselves. The care workforce is largely female, so menopause affects colleagues, managers and rotas as a workplace reality; and it affects the people supported, whose symptoms are too easily mislabelled as anxiety, cognitive decline or “just aging”. Completion is recorded with the date taken and the date it is next due, so it appears correctly on your training matrix.

What the learner receives

A certificate in their own name carrying the CPD Aligned seal, showing the completion date and the renewal date, downloadable at any time. The record belongs to the learner, not just the employer — it travels with them rather than sitting in one provider's system.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Menopause Awareness training take?

About 35 min of e‑learning, across 7 sections with 10 assessment questions. Learners can stop and resume at any point, and it works on a phone.

Is Menopause Awareness CPD Aligned, and how is it assessed?

Yes — the certificate carries the CPD Aligned seal. The assessment is multiple choice with a pass mark of 70%; attempts are recorded and learners can retake it. Renewal defaults to 12 months from the completion date — your organisation can set 24 or 36 months per course — so it reappears on your training matrix when it is due.

Why is menopause training relevant to a care service?

Twice over. As an employer: the care workforce is predominantly female, menopause symptoms are a leading reason experienced women reduce hours or leave, and supportive workplaces retain them. As a provider: symptoms in the people you support — brain fog, sleep disturbance, mood change, hot flushes — are routinely misread as something else, and staff who understand menopause read them right.

Does it cover how to support colleagues as well as clients?

Yes. The course covers the symptoms and their workplace impact, reasonable adjustments that actually help, how to have a supportive conversation, and the manager’s role — alongside recognising and supporting menopause in the people receiving care.

Is it only for women?

No — it is written for the whole team. Colleagues and managers of any gender make the difference between a workplace where symptoms can be mentioned and one where people quietly struggle or leave.

Does this count towards the Care Certificate?

No — this is a standalone awareness course rather than one of the Care Certificate standards.
